I could not ask for a sweeter send off as I conclude photographing weddings in this season of life. Christen and Alex, thank you for sharing this beautiful day with me. There are some moments I can't stop thinking about: your prayer together before the ceremony, Christen leading her bridesmaids in prayer (a woman who knew she personally needed to talk with God before this big important day), the ceremony, the toasts! You stole our hearts!

Scharenbroch Wedding

Even though I am no longer booking weddings, it became very clear to me that I still wanted to create a blogpost as I relived all the beauty and emotion of Sarah and Kyle's wedding day (while editing these photos)! It's the final phase of enjoying a wedding for me, bringing it all together in a series of photos, trying to show the essence of day, the details planned, the beauty, the moments! I just couldn't miss it! and as you look through these photos you'll see why! Sarah and Kyle, thank you for the honor!

Franks Wedding

 When my friend Desirae started planning her wedding in late March I thought, "surely an August wedding wouldn't be affected by the pandemic!" Well, as we've come to find out, things are still changing around us weekly! It was to my delight that Desirae and Trey were able to celebrate their day much like they imagined, with many [masked] loved ones to share in the joy! As I photographed Desirae's bridesmaids praying over her before the ceremony, I was able to appreciate that even among all the unknowns leading up to this day, there were still many solids knowns the pandemic couldn't touch: Desirae and Trey's love and commitment for starters 🥰

Colton & Naomi Wedding

Something about a pandemic makes the sweet things in life even sweeter

The reception venue was booked, the bridal shower planned, invitations sent out.....and then we sheltered in place. As April turned to May, Naomi and Colton decided that although some major details of the wedding they planned couldn't happen, their marriage still would! On a sparkling May day their immediate families and Pastor gathered to celebrate their commitment to marriage. Oh what joy! Though you may have been one of the guests that couldn't come in person, I hope these photos give you a little taste of the magic!

Jesse & Ben Wedding

The Heritage Hill Chapel erupted in cheers and applause as Ben kissed Jesse at the grand finale of their wedding ceremony. I have no words to adequately explain the beauty and whimsy of this marriage but to share actual excerpts from their wedding (written by their friends Patrick and Valerie, provided by Jesse), enjoy:

Naghtin But Love!

Oh what a joy to celebrate Katelyn and Greg's marriage a few weeks ago! Rain, wind, and cold couldn't stop them from delighting in the sweetness of their day! Even the Botanical Garden's Hydrangea bushes joined in on the magic by turning the most beautiful shade of red orange (the exact color scheme of Katelyn's bouquet)! I'm excited to share a peak into this fairytale with you today!

A 7 year long love story leading to this beautiful day! One of my many favorite elements of meeting the couples I photograph is learning their unique love stories that bring them to marriage--some only a few months long, some, like these two, many years long, dating back to text messages sent back and forth during packer games in high school! It was something very special to see the awesome history between Mallory, Neil, their  families, and friends, and enjoy the toasts to how they all gathered here for their wedding!
